If you missed the Collector's First View at ArtPalmBeach then you missed our fun ‘Art Hive dresses’ walking the art fair! These dresses were created by (my!) high school students at Lake Worth High School- made from past issues of Art Hive Magazine and modeled by Amanda and Eleanore. You can still see the paper dresses displayed in our booth, #554. Visit @studio2_110 or check out #LWHSfashionclub on Instagram to see the dresses ‘in progress’ over the past few months!
In addition to our ‘live fashion art’ there was all the work from the talented artist represented by galleries across the world. We will be posting more images on Instagram, but here are just a few images from the evening. If you are local, make sure you get out to this exciting event!
Whether you go to check out the art or ‘people watch’, you will get more than an eyeful at Palm Beach Modern + Contemporary. Two tips, if possible park away from the event and walk (or get dropped off, your feet will thank you!) and look for your copy of Art Hive Magazine- because we are sponsors!

Are you one to constantly seek out new works of public art in your community, traipsing through back alleys and city streets for an exciting mural? Or, are you the person that sticks to traditional gallery exhibitions, observing art while safe and cool from the outside world?
No matter your preference, X Marks the Spot is the perfect opportunity to see South Florida’s graffiti stars shine. This new exhibition, on display at the Cultural Council of Palm Beach County in Downtown Lake Worth now through February 2, offers visitors a firsthand look at new creations of mural art as presented by 16 local talents.
Converse to other public art installation exhibitions, which are typically featured on the exteriors of buildings, X Marks the Spot is uniquely and thoughtfully presented on the interior walls of the Council’s Robert M. Montgomery, Jr. Building. Pieces from the exhibition include site-specific murals, paintings, photos, sculptures and more. A list of participating artists and contributors can be found at palmbeachculture.com/xmarksthespot.
Head to the Cultural Council of Palm Beach County in eclectic Downtown Lake Worth and get ready for an experience that’s sure to please any art-lover in your life. We’ll see you there!
Note: Thank you to the Cultural Council of Palm Beach County for providing the content for this post- the show is AMAZING!! We hope everyone will get out there and see it!!- AH
